About Frantzie Bourdeau

Frantzie has been in business only since 1991 yet her work is indicative of a design veteran.  A graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and Bauder College, she has built a solid residential and commercial design firm.  Born in Port au Prince, Haiti, her creations follow a classic, traditional look inspired by Mediterranean and European architecture.  Her dedicated clientele includes professionals and retirees.  She also caters to a core group of Americans who own residences in the Caribbean and South America.  A high percentage of Latin Americans turn to Frantzie to recreate the look of their Caribbean homes or style their new residence with a unique, modern look.  Frantzie finds that her clients want to trust her for dependability, quality and for being a visionary.  She prides herself on selecting projects that are suited to her style and creative vision.  Some of the more popular requests she experienced in recent design projects are for family/kitchen combination rooms that are relaxed and comfortable, as well as high-tech home theaters.

Projects of distinction:  Major properties including Florida's PGA Village, St.Lucie West, Hutchinson Island, Sailfish Point, Estates in Naples, Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale, New York, New Jersey, Rome, Paris and the Caribbean

Frantzie's work has been published nationally by top magazines in the country and internationally by the magazine of Interior Designers.  Her work has been documented and recognized by the Smithsonian Institution in New York City.

In July 2002 the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum of New York extended an invitation to Frantzie to join the African American Design Archive.  The materials in this archive represent the best works of African-American designers.

Frantzie travels constantly and has developed a love for European architecture.  Whether it is refurbishing an antique structure or creating a new environment, her preference is Mediterranean/European style.
